LARS BJØRN LARSEN TAKES OVER AS CEO OF NORSK E-FUEL AS KARL HAUPTMEIER MOVES TO NOVERA ENERGY

Norsk e-Fuel announces the appointment of Lars Bjørn Larsen as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 November 2026. He succeeds Karl Hauptmeier, who will become CEO of Novera Energy, an infrastructure platform focused on building, owning and operating synthetic fuels infrastructure assets. Karl remains a board member of Norsk e-Fuel, continuing his involvement in the company and its projects.

Lars Bjørn has served as General Manager alongside Karl for the past four years. Together, they have shared the responsibility for the company’s leadership, commercial activities and project development. He takes over with a detailed understanding of the business, its projects and its partners, ensuring continuity for the team and everyone working with Norsk e-Fuel.

Novera Energy was established in 2026 by Prime Capital AG-managed funds to acquire and finance ready-to-build synthetic fuel projects and advance them towards construction and operation.

Norsk e-Fuel is developing a pipeline of synthetic fuel projects across the Nordics to produce sustainable aviation fuels. As the company’s projects mature, securing the capital needed for construction will be one of the key priorities in the years ahead. Continued collaboration with Karl and Novera Energy will combine the expertise of all partners to move projects towards final investment decisions and realization.
